Commander's Intent for Coding Agents

Commander's intent is the purpose and the end state, stated up front, so whoever does the work can make good calls without asking. This kit brings it to coding agents: four gates you run before the agent writes code, and three checks you run after.

What you get

• Four fill-in gate templates (Mission, Concept of Operations, Control Measures and Rehearsal), each saying what you decide and which file it produces
• An agent skill that tells your coding agent to take the gates one per turn and write no implementation code until Gate 4 (Rehearsal) is approved
• Revert test: a script that runs your new tests against the code as it was before the change. A new test that already passes on the old code tests nothing, and the script tells you so
• Rules judge: a prompt and a starter rule set. It returns YES, NO or N/A per house rule, with the file and line, instead of an open-ended "review this"
• Comprehension checkpoint: a map of the area and what changed, and a five-question quiz for you, so you still understand the code you are responsible for
• A worked example from a fictional payments team, with all four gates filled in and what the rehearsal caught
